Holon is a passive, Zero-UI app for functional and ubiquitous music, which means no screen interaction is required. Instead, the physical world becomes a tangible musical interface.
• Holon lets you perform music by moving spatially between different locations. The type of place changes the sound (LULC feature)
• Headphones are needed for auditory feedback (action-perception coupling) to work properly
• Use AirPods Pro/Max (optional) as head tracking controllers for even further musical embodiment. Set them to transparency mode for improved situational awareness and natural acoustic blending
• Holon is made for outdoor use, GPS and mobile data - amount of data is low - are required to access data from your location, such as street furniture, local businesses and infrastructure nodes (POI feature)
• For optimal auditory-motor coactivation, keep your phone in a pocket when walking
